Retina Exam
During the Retina Exam, we will evaluate your visual acuity and check the functions of your retina. Your eyes will be dilated, making it difficult to read and increasing your light sensitivity, for several hours.
If you require corrective lenses you will be given a glasses prescription. If you require medicine for any eye disease you will be given a prescription. In some cases the patient may be referred to a Retinal Specialist for evaluation.
What should I bring for my Retina Exam?
- You will be dilated and may need someone to drive you home.
- Bring a list of all medicines you are currently taking.
